Hi everyone, I’m an OR RN thinking about switching to a surgical technologist role, and I’m trying to get a grasp on the main contrasts between the CSFA and CST certification exams. I’ve studied some comparison charts from the credentialing bodies and read a few discussion posts, but I’m still unclear on how the content and difficulty really compare, and what kinds of career options each certification might open up. For example, which exam tends to be more rigorous? Also, from a practical standpoint, how do employers view CSFA vs CST credentials when it comes to promotion or salary potential? If anyone has personal experience or insights, especially regarding how these certifications transformed your career path, it would be extremely valuable. I came across some comprehensive info here csfa but would appreciate your opinions too. Thanks everyone for the thorough explanations and personal experiences shared!
